Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Fuel Injection Control Module (FICM)

2003-9/22/03 F-Super Duty and Excursion, Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Fuel Injection Control Modules (FICM)

The Fuel Injection Control Modules (FICM) controls the fuel injectors on the 6.0L engine. It is responsible for stepping up the battery voltage to 48 volts, which is required to activate the injectors.

The FICM works in conjunction with the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to control fuel delivery to the engine. The module is mounted on the engine’s valve cover, a high heat and vibration prone area.

The O.E. FICM has a high failure rate on the 6.0L engine, which may cause stalling or a no-start condition. OEM replacement modules come un-programmed and must be programmed by the installer prior to vehicle operation, a difficult and costly task for the independent repair facility.

GB’s remanufactured Fuel Injection Control Modules (FICM) are 100% torn-down, upgraded and fully tested on GB’s proprietary vehicle simulator.

Once the Fuel Injection Control Modules (FICM) fully tested the modules are pre-programmed with the appropriate vehicle software and are ready for installation and operation.

Three part numbers offer complete coverage for the F-Super Duty, E-Series vans as well as the Excursion.

If you buy a factory Ford module they come un-programmed and must be programmed by the installer prior to vehicle operation, a difficult and costly task for the independent repair facility.

Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) Related to a Failing FICM:

• P0611 (Fuel Injector Control Module Performance)

• P0261 (Injector Circuit Low - Cylinder 1)

• P0264 (Injector Circuit Low - Cylinder 2)
